U
I'm glad I bought this udu. Its sound is great but is also very quiet. I used it in the recording and i was really good. There are a lot of articulations and effects that you can create with this instrument.
Unfortunetely when I unpack the instrument I saw that in one little area the paint was crumbled.
It's a very unique and interesting instrument which I strongly recommended for percussionists who likes unusual sounds.

This is a really lovely instrument
Acoustically, it is fairly quiet, but I haven't had a chance to mic it up yet or try it in the studio. It lends itself to softer dynamics, which make it a joy to play for hours, without fear of hurting your fingers.
It has 2 mic ports, about 8 or 9mm in diameter, filled with soft brown clay to keep sealed.
It came with a woven wicker hoop that the base can sit in.
Despite being ceramic this feels robust and sturdy and reasonably light.
