I play a J bass and was looking for an an active MM type of sound without breaking the bank. This is a great bass forget the “for the money” qualifier. Very happy played great out of the box. Thomann service excellent as always.

Feels better than its price
For a person who can't afford a traditional Stingray at this point, the hand-feeling of playing and the tone versatility are beyond my imagination; The fact that it can be passive just by pulling the bass nob is a incredible design. A good mod-platform for experimenting different preamps and pickups.
