Great head for home practice.
The size and 20-watt output make it easy to get satisfying tube tone at bedroom-friendly volumes, and the build quality is exactly what you'd expect from Marshall — solid and straightforward to use.
One thing worth knowing: this amp doesn't dish out great distortion on its own. To get that proper Marshall crunch and saturation, you really need to push more input into it — whether that's from a hot pickup, an overdrive/boost pedal in front, or cranking the gain further than you might expect. Left on its own at lower gain settings, it can sound a bit thin or polite for heavier styles.
Overall: a solid, compact practice amp with genuine tube character.

Nice Marshall tones
A very nice Marshall amp head, with typical Marshall tones. The power selector is very useful, especially for home use. It takes pedals very well.
However, I find the sounds a little too bright for my taste (despite using the knobs), which can be increased with certain overdrives.
The clean tones are very beautiful.
