Meinl 08" Byzance Dark Splash

This complements the traditional splash of the same size. After comparing sound samples, both here and on the Meinl website, I realised that this had a higher pitch than the traditional version. Physically it has the same profile, but the metal is slightly thinner, with the oxide coating left on under the protective lacquer. It looks quite a different colour to any on-line illustrations when you actually see it!

As a fan of Meinl Byzance I own a few of the splashes. This particular one is used for 8" aux hi hat as the top cymbal in combination with the Meinl Classic 8" high bell as the bottom cymbal mounted on Meinl aux hi-hat holder.
