It Could be better but its a nice purchase
The sound is more metallic and punchy than the rest kalimbas I have probably due to the hollow body, the build is very well made so are its tines along with engraved notes on them. the outermost tines are the most problematic though they are not dead they are hard to use them easily.
The pickup quality is satisfactory maybe with an external microphone you will achieve better results recording this instrument.
Overall its a good purchase but would prefer a bit more soft sound.
