good sound, cheap quality

When I got this snare, I changed the cheap drumheads right away for Remo emperor. Upon instalation I noticed the shell is bent / egg shaped and the heads could not be installed smoothly. There was no way to tighten the bolts evenly, the squished opposing sides were much harder to tune and it's impossible to properly tune the snare or to get a normal snares response this way.
Then the thread on the snare wires tensioner, which was hard to turn to begin with , has completely seized on the second day.
I will fix all the issues, since the snare itself has potential for decent sound, and I like to repair and modify my instruments, but an average person would definitley have to send the drum back.
It has potential for those who posess tools and skill, but in short: good design, poor quality.

This was a cheap snare for a beginner drummer.
It is by no means the best, but was tune-able and we were able to get a decent sound from it.

It's cheap and cheerful. Ideal for beginners.
