Perhaps if you are a extremely heavy hitter some movement may occur but my playing hasn't give me any such signs so far.

You attach 1 clamp to a stand and it gives you 2 additional clamps to use. I guess this hole in the center underneath is not too much documented of how can be used.

Highly recommended. It works perfectly to hold my two pearl toms on my cymbal stand. Strong build. It looks a little bit industrial, but the black matches my tom mount system.

Great clamp helps me a lot with multi stands so I can have more cymbals around my kit, also helps me to use up some of my old stands where I only had the top parts left from old stands so I can use them too
