Efficient product - standard

I use this stand for small to medium venue gigs to hold 4 LED lights over the band. It fits into any vehicle and folds up nicely.
The stands are perfect and works fine, I have had zero problems with it so far. I have used it over 30 times and it still works perfectly.Great value for money too.
There are various pros and cons however,
Firstly the pros - great prices, durable, does the job, sturdy, solid, heavy, tidy, neat, well built etc.
Cons - Involves day one set up, lack of power supply at top to supply power for short leaded lights, can be messy on stage or venue.
At the end of the day for the price and value of the product is stands out as an excellent product and I am delighted with it so far, I can't see anything wrong with it or anything happenign to it in the near future. Perfect for DJ's, bands, singers, musicians, dancers, entertainers, comedians, you cannot go wrong in getting one of these stands. They add atmosphere with mood lighting and effect. Truly worth every penny in todays competitive music industry. I plan to buy a second in the near future!

Pretty crap build
Sats 03.01.2017
Well it's cheap so you can hardly blame them but it's not a great build at all. Parts are fiddly and easily breakable.

Having said that, we're storing this lighting stand in a van each work after a church service so we're giving it a bit of hammer but I would still expect more.

Feels flimsy and very light weight. Good for carrying but bad for that sense of reliability you want with something you're hanging your lights on.

You get what you pay for really. If you're not setting it up and down each week then could be a good purchase. We've opted for a more expensive one this time.

Its ok. Its a budget T Bar. But I would go for the next level up as its a bit shaky with four PAR 56 on it. Well worth spending the money on a more sturdy model

MC
Functional stand with Tee-Bar does the job
Martin C. 796 16.05.2013
Lightweight and easy to put up. This is not a heavy-duty stand by any means, but holds par-cans and the likewith no problems at all. The black finish is easily scratched, so may need touching-up more often that other more robust finishes.

Strange locking screw, but sturdy
Filip W. 06.06.2014
This stand does its job, being quite assuring even when heavily loaded.

But the locking screw that attaches the beam to the vertical pillar is not well thought out. The screw is supposed to pass through a hole in the pipe, which requires turning the beam to exactly the right angle before tightening. If this is not done, you will buckle the pipe trying to tighten, which will make removing and attaching the beam very difficult in the future. Quite annoying.

about a...

I was searching for a cheapest lighting stand and I got it. Let's say I wasn't surprised about a quality, because I wanted the stand which does it's function. There are some fragile plastic details, which can be easy to damage. It's good for some applications where you don't move it.

TW
light stand
Trevor W. 31.08.2013
I have a long aluminium light stand and I got this as a replacement because it would be easier to carry around. That it is, as it only measures just over a metre long so easy to get in the car. It doesn't way much either. Only thing its a little flimsy and would only hold about 3/4 led lights and even then you would need to balance the lights evenly. I wouldn't even try to put on the old halogen lights. Its a little ackward to put up as you have to get holes to line up so that you can put in the safety pins. But for the price I will do the job.

TF
Cheap and cheerful stand.
Tyler F. 12.02.2014
I bought this as a secondary stand to my heavier and bigger lighting stand. Unfortunately the product arrived damaged however Thomann were very helpful and the placement parts were sent out just a couple of days after reporting the fault. The stand itself feels cheap, however it holds my 4 LED parcans fine, however I wouldn't recommend anything heavier like a scanner or moving head.
