Featuring a 2" speaker and 5W class D amplifier, this compact powerhouse delivers a sound palette that ranges in intensity from soft and mellow to hard and gritty tones, and can also be played unplugged for up to five hours courtesy of its integrated battery. While the controls on the housing of the Hornet 05i are minimal in number, the iAmp app, which is available for iOS and Android, unlocks a whole world of sonic possibilities, allowing users to access all sound processing options, the integrated looper and drum machine, and even downloadable sounds from the Mooer cloud. The amp also includes a USB-C port, making it easy to record directly to a computer while simultaneously charging the integrated battery.

Full control with the iAmp app
The Mooer Hornet 05i boasts 52 amplifier models, which span a wide sound range, blending replicas of vintage amps with modern amplifier tones. From the clean, Classic Rock vibes of West Coast America to the punchy sounds of legendary British amps and the high-gain powerhouses of today, the Hornet 05i has all bases covered. Standard effects such as reverb, chorus, and delay are complemented by an additional range of special FX options including "Slow Gear", "LowFi", and "Stutter", sparking endless creativity. 40 memory slots provide ample space for storing custom patches, while the "Super Knob" function on the front panel enables the instant retrieval of up to four favourite personalised settings, even without the use of the app. All of these features are controlled via the iAmp app, which connects seamlessly to the Hornet 05i via Bluetooth 5.0.

Weighing in at just over 500 grams, the compact Mooer Hornet 05i Modeling Amp Purple is easily accommodated in the smallest of spaces and can be conveniently packed in hand luggage or a rucksack for travel. The 52 amp simulations, powered by Mooer's MNRS technology, deliver a versatile sound that can be further enhanced with key effects, creating a highly dynamic playing experience. Additional tools, such as the looper and drum machine, are easily incorporated into playing sessions, while the USB-C port enables seamless sound recordings from the compact powerhouse, produced in shimmering purple, directly to a computer. Guitarists who prefer to keep their hands on the instrument and their focus on the music can also switch presets wirelessly by foot using the optional Mooer GTRS Wireless Footswitch GWF4.

About Mooer
Mooer is based in the Chinese city of Shenzhen and has been making products for guitarists since 2010, which include compact single pedals through to multi-effects units and compact amplifiers. The company initially produced a range of mini pedals before making perhaps its most significant breakthrough in 2016 with the sophisticated Ocean Machine delay pedal, which was designed in collaboration with Devin Townsend. Mooer's product range now also includes solutions that feature amp modelling, IR-based speaker simulation, and matching equalisers, and the company's focus remains firmly on the use of digital technology.
