Awesome sounding pedal
I cannot praise this pedal enough. I play mainly Metal music. I use it as my main distortion rhythm channel and it sounds awesome. Really powerful, crunchy and lovely tone. The built in sound gate works at treat and stops any unwanted buzzing. Highly recommended pedal

One of the best distortions ever!!!
I got 4 different distortion sounds only during first 10 minutes, great sound quality, noise gate is too accurate, low noise on line. Get one!!!

I`ve been aThomann customer for years, very pleased with both products and handling.
I use the MXR EVH 5150 Overdrive on 2 of my pedalboards, and I can`t play without it,- especially because of the gate and the extra boost.

Van Halen in a box!
I love this pedal. It has that Edward Van Halen sound pumping through it and is also very flexible: you can dial in anything from a bluesy overdrive to a full screaming metal distortion. Looks beautiful too with the VH stripes on it.

Iconic on so many levels
I bought this pedal in order to have further gain stage on a Marshall DSL 20 C I was not disappointed - this pedal is an amp in a box from the channel 3 of the EVH 5150 3 (that's a lot of 3's) so the distorsion that results is punchy and gainy without being muddy - this adds a lot of gain HOWEVER the noise gate is quite precise
