I only take one star off the "features" because I can see why the bigger brother version has the bass cut switch. It has a thump in the low end that is hard to shake off.
I put a tubescreamer in front (low gain, level and tone at about 1 o'clock) to cut said bass and push the mids to the front.
The result is a beautiful thick tone, full of harmonics and with a very amp-like response. It cleans up well in response to the volume knob. It palm mutes nicely (some of the more "fuzz" like distortion/overdrives won't do that).
"Natural" overdrive is the perfect name for it, it's like having tube amp overdrive in your pocket.

Amazing overdrive!
I think this is exceptionally versatile overdrive pedal, It can go from light crunch to nice medium thick overdrive, there is no bad setting on it.
I tried it with strat and tele through vox ac style amp and just sounds amazing. Build quality is decent taking in consideration the price tag.
It will definitely stay on my board.

What a disappointment
The Nobels ODR-1 is a legend. This mini version is a disappointment. It is built well but it produces booming bass and the only way to reduce it is to settle for harsh treble instead.

Nobel price for a modest little pedal
This little green thing produces an overdrive that sounds complete all by itself. It's colour is definitely not tube-screamer-green, it sounds more subtle and balanced-out and smooth. I came across it on the Thomann site and it surprised me, after having checked out many overdrive pedals.
It ended up almost at the end of my pedal rig, where it has more impact on the overall sound. I put it just before the echo/delay -, reverb - and/or other spacious pedals, and I love to run a variety of sounds through it, for example:
- Keeley Compressor > Mooer Black Secret > Boss MT-2 Metal Zone > ODR-Mini
- EHX Mel-9 or EHX Synth-9 > Ibanez DCF-10 > ODR-Mini
- clean telecaster > Walrus Lillian phaser > ODR-Mini
I suggest you try it out yourself! And try it on various positions in your pedal chain. Surely made me happy.

Not quite there
This pedal is well made and straightforward to use. In terms of sound, it has a transistor-like harshness in the upper part of the spectrum that cannot be dialled out. I have never tried the “standard”, larger version of the pedal, therefore I cannot compare them.

The good old ODR-1, but smaller
If you want a "Tube Screamer" that's not exactly a "Tube Screamer", this one is for you. The well known "Nashville Secret Sound" in a more pedalboard friendly (and dare I say nicer looking) version. Pretty much the same sound in a smaller box. As a fan of the original I just love the tiny version. Got me 2 of these so far, both working on different boards.

Where's the life?
I found this pedal to be incredibly dull even with the tone full blast. It may sound good at extremely high volumes through a Marshall but for normal volume recording purposes it's a no from me.

One of the best sounding mini overdrives
this is the second time I buy one of these.
It is a much deeper bluesy sounding overdrive than its famous competition the TS mini. If you're looking for a mini overdrive pedal give this one a try!
Sounds great with both acoustic and electric guitars.
Pros: Sound, small size, goos price
cons: No cons
best deal you can get

Great tones
Very nice little pedal, packs plenty of tone, decent build quality, and can get pretty heavy when combined with another overdrive. The "spectrum" knob (which generally works on the mids) has a little 12 o'clock groove that it slots into which is a nice detail.

Classic everyone shoud have in their collection
Great and affordable true bypass version of it's bigger brother. If you want really great sounding pedal for your Tele and Tube screamer has just too much of that mid hump this is it. Search no further.
