The keyboard is great for the price. It has all the features the someone would expect. The build quality could be improved. Also it is a bit bigger in person.

Great midi controller
I was very impressed with this keyboard controller. It’s very intuitive to use with ableton live. The keys feel very nice and the pads are nice and sensitive. I’m not great at music theory and so the chords feature really attracted me to the launch key and it works very well.

fantastic bit of kit!
I could go on with this review as there is so much this midi keyboard can do, instead i won't as plenty of informative on youtube for that. But it has great compatibility with logic and software instrument bundles. the novation company support and help can only e described as above and beyond. some of the free software is pretty cool too and worth a small fortune on top. im only just scraping the surface of the functions and versatility to playing and mixing on this hardware, but so far my impression is fantastic and i love it. i ahvnt used any midi keyboard before this, previously just using my computer keyboard so no comparison to other alternatives. Defiantly improving my music production work flow.

Superb piece of kit
I'm studying an Ableton music production course, and we were told that we needed to get a MIDI keyboard. After doing some research, it seemed that this was the best Launchkey option for me. The only slight step up would have been the 61-key version, but the main advantage of that would be having more keys available for keyboard/piano-style composition. Since I already have an 88 weighted-key Casio electronic piano, I simply bought a printer cable to add that to my setup instead.
It's an impressive piece of equipment and, as one of the other reviewers noted, it is quite large in person. It comes with a cable and plugs easily into my Samsung Galaxy laptop, seamlessly interacting with Ableton. Now I just need to develop my knowledge and skills to do it justice!
