I was searching versatile crash which will be suitable for many generes which I play like stoner, sludge, death and doom metal.
Sound as a crash:
Very responsive, medium weight with warm, clear, full sound and medium sustain. It cuts through in blast beats when you need quick response or in loud stoner patterns when you play mostly by crashing 24 inch rides. One of the best classic cymbal for studio, easy to mix and control in all situations.
Sound as a ride:
Lightweight ride with warm open sound and soft ping. Bell is not loud but has nice timbre which could be helpful in light patterns where standard ride bell will be to sharp.
Sound as a multi-cymbal:
In mostly applications I'm using it as a top of a hihat with 2002 classic ride on the bottom. Opened it's very loud with medium bright, warm, rich, rock sound and dirty rustle. Closed it has well defined and pronounced hissing. Also it has sharp, cutting chick sound. Due the size it could be difficult to control at the begining but over time you will be able to play as heavy as lighter patterns on it. Great rock sound in studio without any problem in mix.
Quality:
Premier League - no more to say.
Summary:
As a crash it's one of most versatile cymbal for all kind of genres which you can buy sight unseen. However do not be affraid to mix it and build unique hihat or stax.

I can't really stress enough how much I love this cymbal. Perfect response from very subtle to very loud. I mainly use it as a crash but you can ride on it comfortably as well.
Amazing cymbal for recording too. It really is a no brainer.

Paiste 2002s are always consistent in their sound quality. Useful in any style of music. I've used them for 30+ years and they have always given me a professional sound. Fantastic!

The cymbal is amazing! Very controlled sound, medium weight and can be used as a crash ride if you like. As a Ride it has an beautiful open sound! I would buy the whole line!
