I didn't knew that the screws are so short. So if you are going to install it on other snare (not pearl) mind the thicknes of your drum. pros very little contact with the drum, low mass, big tuning range Cons it is a bit lose and the metal plates that grabs the strainer cord are flat. it looks cool

Very easy to replace if you break your existing throw off. Not the most durable of designs so avoid over tightening and keep your snare in a case when not in use.
