I used this with the Pearl JG-16 Jungle Set Adapter
I used this with the Pearl JG-16 Jungle Set Adapter in order to turn my Gretsch Catalina 14" Tom into a mini-bass drum. As my tom doesn't have a Pearl mount I bought the ISS-1216 which is compatible with the Pearl mounting system, and works with toms which are between 12" to 16" in size.
The ISS-1216 fitted perfectly onto my 14" tom. You simply clamp the two small holders onto the rim of your tom, and tighten them with a normal drum key.
Once in place, the Pearl JG-16 adapter slots perfectly into the ISS-1216. You can then attach your bass pedal to the JG-16 plate and you are ready to go.
Like all Pearl hardware, the ISS-1216 is well made, solid, and looks perfect.
If you are trying to adapt a different size toms Pearl do several versions covering the other sizes.

After lugging my 22" bass drum around with me for many years, I finally bought this in conjunction with the Pearl JG-16 unit. Easy to assemble, this fits perfectly onto my 16" Floor Tom (Mapex M-Birch Series), enabling me to convert it into a 16" bass drum. It is now a lot easier transporting my "minimal" drum set. Would highly recommend investing in both the Pearl ISS-1216 ISS Tom Holder System and the Pearl JG-16. Saves a lot of time and space!

A tough piece of metal
I use It with my secondary snare, everything is fixed to a Pearl rack. It works fantastically. It is heavy, solid and durable. It holds the drum in position and won?t let it go. It makes a great impression too.

Great tom holder
Simple but very good. This is a more compact solution in comparison to metal rim suspension. Despite the small size and very simple construction, this item has proven its durability and stability. I use this tom holder on 16" size floor tom (on a very specific drum rack) for over than two years, solid, stable way to mount a drum, no noticeable noises on wobbling.

Slight wobble?...
Couldn't notice the difference, sonically speaking, when my floor Tom was recorded mounted using this against standard legs. Very stable if you can tighten the tension rods up enough. Slightest wobble on bigger drums. My 16" x 16" floor Tom wasn't sitting perfectly parallel to the mount. But this does not not detract from the product experience!

Great tool to use together with Pearl JG-16 Jungle Set Adapter
I use this tom holder system together with the Pearl JG-16 Jungle Set Adapter to transform a 16" floor tom to a portable kick drum. This holder is easy to mount and will stay firmly attached to the tom no matter how hard you kick. Also, it doesn't leave marks on the rim, but you can always a small strip of gaffer tape tape to cover the contact between tom and mount, and maybe don't leave the holder attached all the time - metal on metal is never a good idea.

Good job
Use it with my 14" and 16" floor tom. With a JG-16 Jungle Adapter it's an easy way to make yourself a coctail drum set when you need it. Use it in the kindergarten for kids to play on such a set. Much easier, very stabile and easy to mount.
