Pearl's updated Roadshow series offers high-quality, comprehensive beginners' drumkits for a fair price. There are a total of three different shell configurations, defined by the size of their bass drum: 18", 20", or 22". And since 2021 the Roadshow sets also come with either two or three Sabian Solar cymbals; the sets with three cymbals are denoted by a Plus in the product name. In any case, the 7mm shells are all made of nine-ply Asian white poplar wood and have a modern 45° bearing edge. An extensive hardware package from Pearl's 50 Series, consisting of double-braced hardware, a foot pedal with double chain drive, and a drum stool, is included as standard with each drumkit. A stick bag and drumsticks are also included – so the sets come with everything drummers need to just get drumming.

Sabian cymbals as standard

A 20"x16" bass drum and a 14"x5" snare drum combine with 10"x7", 12"x8", and 14"x14" toms; the 20" set is the mid-sized Roadshow, not too small, not too large. A cymbal set from Sabian, consisting of a 14" hi-hat, a 16" crash, and a 20" ride – as well as all the necessary hardware – rounds off the package. This accessible drumkit offers a wide variety of sounds, and the 7mm shells are full of presence and projection, making them suitable even for louder genres and playing styles. The white poplar wood used here is also a popular material in starter sets, with acoustic properties comparable to those characteristic of birch wood; poplar sounds a little darker.

With its standard sizes, this complete drumkit offers a wide range of sounds and enough power to make itself heard in every rehearsal room and behind any band. The versatile sound and the excellent hardware also offer all sorts of opportunities to try out different styles and techniques – ideal for all beginners who know what they want right from the start. The Roadshow series also includes the 18" set, for younger players and quieter styles, as well as a drumkit that's specifically tailored for smaller children – Roadshow Jr., with smaller shells so that even the youngest drummers can play comfortably.

A set that grows along with your skills

The Roadshow 20" Plus can be used for a variety of styles and, thanks to its standard shell sizes and the Sabian cymbal set, is already capable of professional-sounding fills, grooves, and rolls. As a drummer's career progresses, however, this beginner's drumkit can be upgraded as needed. Additional effect cymbals such as a splash or china, a second snare drum model – a metal snare is ideal here for even more tonal variety – and additional toms or percussion instruments can be added to complement and challenge the growing skills of the beginner. Additional hardware, such as a double bass pedal, can add further versatility.

Rapport qualité-prix excellent ! Belle finition, solide, robuste et magnifique couleur métallisée ! Cymbales basiques. J'ai repris la batterie après vingt ans, c'est un bon petit kit pour se relancer et c'est agréable de pouvoir l'améliorer. À conseiller, beaucoup de plaisir !

Ich habe mir das Drumset nach über 10 Jahre ohne Drums gekauft um mein altes Hobby wieder zu beleben. Insgesamt ein sehr schönes Set mit toller Verabeitung und guter Hardware. Super für den Wiedereinstieg. Ich spiele jetzt seit 2 Jahren wieder und liebe es mehr den je. Einzig die Becken lassen zu wünschen übrig und wurden nach einigen Monaten ersetzt.
