This is the second Peter Gane bucket mute I have owned. The previous one I had for years and it was that good it was stolen! Having gone back to playing in dance bands I needed a replacement. I wasn't disappointed as the new one is as good if not better. I prefer the bell insertion method to the usual clip onto the bell and the mute now comes with a leather handle to aid fitting. All bucket muted are by design a bit stuffy but the mute is well in tune across the range.
