very good for medium bowls

the bowls make a different sound than when they are placed on a mat or pillow, because of the hole in the middle.

The ring supports the bowls easily and steadily. By doing its job, it leaves the bowl, and the player, to do theirs, which is exactly what it's supposed to do. You can rely on it.

not good for peter hess bowls

I ended up buying a set of cushions from elsewhere in the end. the bowls moved all over the place sliding off the ring and didn't work well at all. its true you only get what you pay for these are a complete waste of money
