Die Presto-Saiten sind ziemlich dick, vielleicht nicht so dick wie Darmsaiten, aber einiges fetter als die üblichen Stahlsaiten. Es kann also sein, dass die Kerben am Sattel etwas erweitert werden müssen. Wenn man das nicht macht, kann es passieren, dass beim Stimmen die Umwicklung kaputt geht. -- Das sollte man wissen.

Nun, die Prestos sind umwickelte Stahlsaiten. Am Anfang haben sie noch das übliche Sustain, das mit der Zeit verloren geht. Möchte man also einen kurzen und darmähnlichen Sound haben, werden sie mit der Zeit besser. In einer Jazz Bar in Berlin sind sie seit ca. vier Jahren drauf, werden nahezu täglich gespielt und halten seitdem.
