Good in itself. Slightly small for the gadget it was bundled for
Acquired this as part of a kit for the Tascam Portacapture X8.
It's a great bag in itself. Extremely high quality... my wife could use it as a handbag at a club it's that nice. The insides are lovely and soft, and could revive a hypothermic small mammal
However, I can only get the tascam in the bag by ramming it in fairly hard at an angle when the microphones are attached, and I dont want to have to keep dismantling and remantling the device everytime I'm in the field... just want to whip it out instantly when i see a stoat.

Little small
I bought this as a bundle with the Zoom H5 recorder. The zoom fits diagonally without the hardcase, but OK with the protector handling case (PCH 5). This seems a bit weird at first but when you place it that way the rubber mounted capsules can't get squashed. I wish it was a bit more roomy. The dividers are left out for the zoom H5. People reporting that they can fit it in with the zoom hard case must be ramming it in, there is no way.
If I knew it was a bit small I would have just bought the Zoom h5 on its own and went to a camera store to fit cases.
I am fitting in the main compartment: zoom h5 + PCH-5 case (mics mounted), wind/pop-foam screen. In the front compartment: 4x AA battery, gorillapod 500, powerbank, usb cable (could fit another cable). All in all a decent case, I wasn't sure how to fit the zoom in at first so I edited my review.

A decent case, but a little too cramped
This case provides very good protection for what is inside, but thereby also becomes a bit on the clumsy side compared to the amount of internal space: the padding is quite extensive.
The "modular" interior consists of two velcro-fastened panels, and while these provide some modularity this is quite limited.

A decent case
This case from protec was bought to carry my Zoom H4n and other attachments I have also. The case does exactly what its says in the description. It gives you a safe place to place your portable recording gear with its soft/ hard material design. It even comes with a rain cover that is cleverly woven in to the back of the case. There are many differnt pouches at the front of the case with a harder interior at the back. This is a good case for people looking for a lighweight safe place for their poratble recorder or other tools. You can keep everything contained in one small case.Good for people starting out with minimal gear.
