I wanted an acoustic guitar with a cutaway, as I was struggling to play chords above the 12th fret on my prs Tonare P 20. Google took me to the prs SE A40E and to Thomann for the best deal. I have encountered problems buying guitars on line in the past and had resolved never to buy a guitar without trying it again. However I wanted this guitar so I decided to go for it.
I am so glad that I did. This guitar and case far surpassed my expectations, as did the delivery and service from Thomann. I ordered it on Tuesday, it arrived Saturday, which considering I live in Poole, Dorset, England, I found astonishing.
The case is very good quality and a beautiful snug fit for the guitar.
The guitar once turned played well, but I didn't get on with the strings, they were very bright and sounded good, but just a little to heavy gauge.
I changed the strings to my favourite brand and gauge, tightened the truss rod a quarter turn and it now plays even better, for me. This is quite a loud guitar, it has fabulous projection, and I find the tone very pleasant.
The pickup works well with my amp and recording module.
Everything I read about the buid quality, materials, and performance of this guitar seems accurate. I am blown away by it's value for money.
