The PRS SE Silver Sky Nylon Blue is really a true sonic jewel.
It is an extreme versatile guitar and you can play anything with it. What I really like is that it has its own 'soul' and you can 'feel' it as you play. Whether it's blues, rock, funk, or even jazz this guitar adapts beautifully. As for the construction the guitar is solid, very stable and incredibly comfortable to play. Also it looks quite cool (and the eye wants its share too...). So, The PRS SE Silver Sky Nylon Blue is my pride and joy, and I’m more than happy to show it off!

A bit dissapointing.

Bought this guitar to a have a typical Stratocaster sound, which it delivers perfectly. Had to do some small adjustments to improve the action. But it does not give me the same kick when I got the PRS SE Paul's Guitar. It is less flexible in sound (hey, it's a Stratocaster, not an all-rounder!).
Once again Thomann's Service was IMPECCABLE!

Mehr als nur eine günstige Alternative

Ich spiele seit vielen Jahren Fender und kenne den typischen Sound sehr genau. Gerade deshalb war ich auf die PRS Silver Sky SE besonders gespannt – und ich war überrascht, wie nah sie sich im Strat-Universum bewegt, ohne dabei wie eine Kopie zu wirken. Sie bringt eine eigene, subtile Färbung mit, die sie interessant und eigenständig macht.

Für diese Preisklasse ist die Verarbeitung ausgesprochen ordentlich: saubere Bünde, gute Lackierung, ein stabiler Halsübergang. Auch die Werkseinstellung war unerwartet gut, sodass man ohne Nacharbeit sofort loslegen kann. Das Halsprofil ist angenehm, spielt sich komfortabel und vermittelt ein zuverlässiges Spielgefühl.

Besonders angesprochen hat mich die Ausführung in Nylon Blue mit Ahorn-Griffbrett. Optisch ein Highlight, klanglich klar, direkt und mit einer angenehmen Präsenz im Anschlag – Eigenschaften, die mir persönlich sehr gut gefallen und zum Spielen motivieren.

Natürlich liegen die USA-Modelle noch einmal eine Stufe höher, vor allem in Bezug auf Materialien und feine Nuancen im Ton. Aber die SE-Serie hat mich positiv überrascht, weil sie mit spürbarer Sorgfalt gebaut ist und ein starkes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis bietet.

Mein Fazit: Die Silver Sky SE ist kein bloßes Einsteigerinstrument, sondern eine ernstzunehmende Gitarre, die auch erfahrene Musiker begeistert. Solide gebaut, inspirierend im Klang und mit viel Spielfreude – für mich ein echter Geheimtipp.

Lange hin und her überlegt. Die erste musste zurück geschickt werden wegen unsauberer Verarbeitung. Unkomplizierter Umtausch dank des Super Thomann Services :-)

Bei der zweiten passt alles! Sehr schöner klang, super verarbeitet.
Vom Klang her etwas wärmer als meine Fender.
Bespielbarkeit ist ein Traum !! Musste nur die Saitenlage etwas runter setzen, ansonsten war sie gut eingestellt.
Der Hals und die Bünde sind ein Traum und er passt super für meine etwas größeren Hände.
Farbe ist sehr schön, manchmal je nach Licht eher grünlich bzw. Blau.
