Allows the player to quickly and effectively find the overall facing curve length of the mouthpiece to determine where reed adjustment should begin, to achieve the goal of maximum vibrational efficiency
The ReedGeek Gauge can indicate whether the reed is uniformly sealing on the mouthpiece
The ReedGeek Plaque may be used to support the reed while making adjustments, since the tip of the reed can no longer sag

This is very quick in gauging positioning of the reed on Mouthpiece.

ReedGeek Plaque & Gauge Set
ronhow 25.01.2025
I've not really used it but it seems to be a nicely made bit of kit. I get the principle but I fail to see the value in using it really. I just fit my reeds to where I need them and blow them in. If the lay curves on your mouthpiece rails are off then there's not much you can do about that really other than to buy a new one or try to find someone who can work on you mouthpiece at great expense.

It helps

Just that - it helps with identifying where a reed needs work. Expensive enough for what it is but if you're going to spend €80 on a Black Diamond Reed Geek it's probably worth shelling out another €20 on this.
Unfortunately there was an error. Please try again later.
