Rode SC3

This is an essential adapter to use in conjunction with the Rode SmartLav series. Not much to say here. Does the job of adapting the SmartLav to use with standard inputs on cameras, camcorders or recorders.

Comes in a small box with nothing else included.

Good quality, strong connection and angled jack is a plus.

The SC3 is designed to allow the Rode smartLav or other TRRS mics and devices to a 3.5mm TRS devices such as cameras and audio recorders. It is one of those items that I always have in my audio bag. It has gotten me out of a lot of difficult situations. One small con is the cables length. I know it is a patch item but a coiled cable would be handy and offer a little more length when needed.

It's the most expensive cable per meter you are going to buy. But if you need it it's worth it.

I have the other version - SC4 (TRS to TRRS) - for mobile phone, but needed the other way around, which this does splendidly.

If you want to use it as an adapter it will work perfectly without corrupting the sound quality

and does it well, over the years now :)

Does what it needs to without any issues. Lets me use my lav mic (designed for phones) with my audio recorder. Perfect.
