Room for improvement
It's a very decent machine. At the time I bought it, it was considerably cheaper than the current price. For the current price, I don't think it's worth the money. The pads are OK but playing softly doesn't always trigger a hit. The quality feels a bit cheaper and more plastic than how it comes across in the picture. The onboard sounds are okay but nothing to write home about. Using it as a controller for sounds from for example Toontrack, I found it never really translated well despite fiddling with velocity curves etc. Perhaps it's just me, but I never found it to work really well. Always loved the old Roland synths but this doesn't feel like it's in the same class.
