Indispensable.
I get a set of these with every new bass/guitar I buy. I use a few straps and I equipped them all with the Schaller security locks. I'm glad I can buy those pins separately.

Effective and vintage style
I purchased these to replace the strap buttons on an American professional jazzmaster which came with very shallow buttons and the strap would frequently slip off. These replacements were easy to install and were a significant improvement so no regrets.

Well made rubbish
I had one of these fail on me at a gig, and I’ll never use them again. The connecting cup rotated on my strap during a gig meaning that the securing pin was taking all the weight off my Thunderbird. It doesn’t work. This is a niche experience, but I’ll always use Dunlop’s ugly system or just old school strap pins from now on.

Have been using Schaller strap locks since 1998 to secure my basses and guitars in straps. Still quality strap locks.

Solid lock
Very easy to install and use. I got this to install it to my spare bass so I can easily remove and install my strap between basses.
