Q
The best 8-string pickups for the price
Quimmy 03.03.2015
Hands down the best ERG pickups I?ve played in the price-range. Clarity of each string is amazing and they?re high enough output to achieve any tone you like.

At higher gain settings, attack and clarity really shine through so if you?re after that clear, precise tone, the Pegasus is amazing.

The combination of medium output and balanced tone makes it a real workhorse of a pickup and extremely versatile for any kind of modern tone. While they won?t reach the ?wall of sound? gain tones of something like the Black Winter, they?re right at home in that punchy, attack?driven, prog metal zone.

These characteristics also make it amazing for any clean tones that might be heavily loaded with effects. Lots of darker/less clear pickups can get ?swallowed? a little if you?re using delays/shimmer reverbs/etc. but the Pegasus handles anything you can throw at it and still lets the notes, attack and nuances in your playing shine through.

T
Awesome pickup
Thomas8556 21.12.2016
I was gonna go with a dimarzio but i figured i might as well get the best from the best.. Great sounding pickup, but it you want something more aggressive a nazgul or distortion would be a better option. This thing is fantastic though! Really crisp and clear even on the lower strings without coming out too harsh or muddy, extremely well packaged and it comes with a wiring diagram, mounting screws and a foamy/rubbery wadge to put underneath to stop it moving about inside the guitar.

You simply can not go wrong with Seymour Duncan! :)

Huge upgrade

Upgraded to this because my stock pickup sound was trash, I was amazed. I play primarily Djent/Metalcore, and it just sounds great. Recommended.

J
Excelent pickups
Javalee 15.10.2022
These are extremely versatile pups. Even though you won't get that extreme heavyness or the clearness of specialized hardware, the way these work to provide an excelent 8 string clarity in the bass range as well as a clean high end is excelent. If this is the type of sound you are looking for, you cannot go wrong. Absolutely delightful sound.
