The first arguement for the Seymour Duncan's is the shape. You can replace them without mill or drill of your corpus, if you have a Fender Jazz Bass. They fit very well in the original places.
The second argument is the incredible revaluation of your bass sound. They give you more crunch, growl und punch as your originals.
My hint: order them, test them, and if you don't like, just send them back!

Excellent single coils with really hot output, almost as loud as an active bass pups. Highly recommend these as an upgrade to your jazz style bass. Really rich low mids and punchy. Not so much at the higher end though.

I was given a squire affinity 5 string JB as a present. I love to upgrade these type of instruments and these pick ups, for me, do just that. They went in easily and made the bass sound "bigger" I also put in an on board pre amp to complete the upgrade. Easy to fix and a bigger sound.
