Good sound, but poor quality

At the beginning I really liked the warm sound of this pick-up, but unfortunately I soon started having some technical issues. Bad contacts at cable input and at the tone and volume controls lead to load cracks in the sound. After using contact spray, the problem has been solved, but I can not be sure that the problems will stay away. Toebad, but not reliable.
