Got one of these for an SM81 that lost it's original clip. Fits the microphone very securely with a noticeable improvement in quality over the cheaper clips available.

Never had a problem using these holders. Sometimes you do misplace them.
Or somebody forces a bigger mic into it. They do not snap, but will get loose.
