The new 3D audio technology featured in this generation enables the simulation of playback from multiple high-quality speakers to provide spatial sound from all directions. In addition, the battery life has been increased to 45 hours, and the scope of delivery includes everything the user will need in order to use and transport the headphones effectively in a wide variety of situations. High-quality sound in 3D audio
The on/off button on these headphones is also used to pair Bluetooth devices. The ShurePlus Play app, which is available to download free of charge on Android and iOS devices, can be used to control detailed settings for the Shure AONIC 50 Gen2 BK headphones, enabling users to choose between a noise-cancelling intensity level of normal or maximum and select up to ten environment mode settings. The app offers five preset options courtesy of a built-in equaliser, which can be used to switch between linear playback, de-esser, loudness boost, low boost, and vocal boost. The headphones use 50mm dynamic drivers and boast a frequency range of 20Hz to 22kHz. An impedance of 39 ohms allows the headphones to be operated with less powerful preamps, such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops, while the integrated 3D audio technology works on a patented algorithm that broadens the sound without producing unnatural artefacts.

Comfortable and robust design
The Shure AONIC 50 Gen2 BK has small foam pads to prevent chafing between the metal supports of the headband and the earpieces, rendering the headphones serviceable for many years to come. The earpieces are rotatable by 90 degrees, allowing the headphones to be folded flat in a matt black transport case which is not only equipped with a fabric carry handle but also features an appealing internal coating complete with an accessory compartment that can be closed with a hook and loop fastener. A 1.5m-long headphone cable and a USB-C charging cable are also included in the scope of delivery, the latter of which can also be used to connect up digital audio devices, offering even greater flexibility across a wide range of applications.
