Drawbacks
They work great if you wanna get rid of overtones, resonances in your toms, etc.
BUT
-They are stickey and therefore collect dust and dirt;
-They are droopy and therefore run down your non-horizontal drum head;
-They don't do well at higher temperatures (more droopy, to runny).
I got these a while ago, but recently i got the Millenium version.
The Millenium do much better on all counts, while having approximately equal effect on sound.
My two cents.
