Sony MDR-7506

I’ve been producing for over 10 years and already own several pairs of headphones—Beyerdynamic DT 770, DT 990 Pro, Sennheiser HD 599, plus a few closed ones with extreme isolation for recording. I picked these up because of all the hype, thinking they’d be useful both for reference and for recording. But honestly… what is this sound? Way too mid-forward, no bass, low-definition highs… I’m sorry, what? Easily the lowest-quality headphones I’ve ever used. Even my old Icon HP 360 sounds better. At this point, they’re basically my backup for my backup headphones. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
