Good mixer, it could have been even better
SK23 27.10.2026
Deutsch:

English:
I really like this mixer, especially the four flexible pre/post-fader aux sends, which are almost unique for a mixer of this size.

The overall sound quality is good, although it doesn't behave like some of the good old analog mixers in the same price range when you push the gain. Instead of getting that pleasant analog saturation, this mixer will definitely start to distort. The EQs sound neutral and smooth, neither harsh nor particularly warm.

Having inserts on every channel is a great feature. Ideally, individual direct outputs or a built-in multitrack USB interface like the MTK series would have made it even better. However, this doesn't bother me too much, as I actually prefer keeping all my connections analog, using physical cables.

What I really miss, though, is a main bus insert.

On the positive side, at least for my particular setup, the mixer offers two very comprehensive and independent monitoring sections for headphones and studio monitors. This is extremely convenient.

I use it as an analog summing and mixing desk in my studio, which probably isn't its primary intended purpose, and I'm very happy with it overall.

The built-in effects might be useful, but I haven't tried them and probably never will, since I already have plenty of plugins and external hardware effects.

Overall, it's a very capable and versatile analog mixer, especially considering its size and price.
