Startone Alto
I have very limited experience when it comes to Altos, so I'm writing this as a newcomer to the instrument but a veteran flute player of roughly 20 years. This is an amazing instrument, especially when considering the price tag. It is bright, responsive, has a great tone in both the higher and lower octaves and it is an absolute pleasure to play. Highly recommended if you want to experience a much lower musical voice. I play mainly traditional and folk music and this is a complete game changer. It is a heavier instrument that also requires a good bit of extra movement to operate, but will help develop your technique and speed on smaller flutes as well. Highly recommended!
