After reading so much about CTS being the "high-quality top-tier choice for pots" I've ordered those. Aside from this one I've also got a different 500k push-pull for a tone knob.
Well, I've had a Korean Alpha pot as my volume knob until the last week (don't spray contact cleaner on pots, kids)
Decided to "upgrade" instead of trying to source the fader lube, and I've just received the both CTS pots.
This one feels so much worse than the alpha! Alpha is buttery smooth with a very satisfying torque, but this one - less torque which is a bad thing for me (strat volume knob), and it's not nearly as smooth. At some angles it consistently feels scratchier than at others. "Highest quality standards", yeah right...
The push-pull knob I got for tone actually has good torque, BUT it also has inconsistent torque! It's very subtle but you can feel the knob turning easier at some angles than the others.
And everybody is so hyped about CTS, What a joke...
I hope I'll be able to find exact alpha I have right now.
I may give cts another chance with their HT version but I'm pretty reluctant towards it
