They're small thick stickers
I was expecting something a bit more substantial, but perhaps that was just my misunderstanding.
I have put both of them on my snare head and it doesn't really make any difference to the sound. Some gaffer tape and tissue has more of an effect.
But... they're cheap and do have some subtle effect, I suppose.
