Perfect DJ heaphones. Not the best sound though.
They upgraded the sound quality a little bit, but this still is nothing more than simply one of the best dj headphones. You will not get the best sound with these headphones, but if you're coming from the previous "Made in Japan" Gen, you will be pleased to find the highs are crisper and a lot more accurate. The iconic swivel design has remained unchanged for the better part of the last 3 decades. Alas , these are no longer made in Japan, but China, while they remain relatively expensive. The upgraded combi (coiled+straight) cable is a very nice touch. Probably the most comfortable set for dj-ing, unless your head is VERY big.

Technics DJ headphones
Hi. Since 2008, I have been using TECHNICS RP-DJ1200 PROFESSIONAL DJ headphones and boy are they amazing. From the quality of the sound to the fit. I've now upgraded to the Technics EAH-DJ 1200, and I can safely say without fear of contradiction, Technics makes the best dj gear. These new headphones feel as if it is the first time using Technics. Well done Technics. As for the service that I received while making the purchase, Thomann was amazing. My order arrived safety in South Africa, and in good condition. Now let me play some house music. Tx

The only logical upgrade coming from RP-DJ1200's
Been using Technics RP-DJ1200 headphones for the past 20 years. And evem though they still work and were my daily driver, they became aesthetically unpleasing.
These sound better and have the advantage of the removable cable.
The pouch is of lower quality though...
