Very impressed

I've been a huge fan of the Achat range since it was released and here I am being impressed again.

I have just bought some of these for an install for one of my clients.
I put them on test in my warehouse before they went out with the Achat 112 Active sub. I was so impressed with the results.

I went and installed them the other night. The brackets are very tough and the terminal inputs on the rear are a great idea. My client was very impressed and now wants me to install more of it in his other venues.

Well done to Mark the designer and Thomann for putting out yet another fantastic product.

I bought these tops as part of a complete PA set with sub plus all the cabling and stands. It has proved a superb investment - ideal for those small gigs where some sound reinforcement is needed, but you don't want to lug a huge PA in. These comfortably sit on one car seat and knock out a surprising amount of power. I like the fact they are of hardy construction and they aren't showing much wear and tear despite extensive use. They're well balance and the fact they can be mounted on microphone stands is a real bonus and ideal for siting them in confined spaces. I've used them as a vocal PA for acoustic gigs with the band and also as a main PA for solo acoustic gigs. A great buy.

Great sounding little speaker for the money

I use these speakers as under-balcony fills in musical theatre applications.
For the money they are an excellent little cabinet and sound like a much larger cabinet than they actually are. Very impressive.
The yoke mount is a useful addition if you're not always going to want to use them on mic stands.
They are surprisingly stable when mounted on a mic stand - something I was concerned about initially.

Surprisingly loud.

At 112 dB (pretty loud), these are usable in many ways. Also usable down to a recommended 80hz, which is my favourite bass cut off for acoustic guitar rock/pop, small & light, great to carry in the well padded dedicated carry bag (but the bag need a shoulder strap).
They work good in smaller venues (20/30 audience) when coupled with the "sub a, 8" sub bass" the load of 4ohms makes them ideal for any stereo work.
I will use these "lighter speakers" in many different ways, mostly for the preservation of my musical fingers.
I know from experience that thomann branded music gear is so reliable and functional, these will stay with me for many years.
