I would say it follows specs which is hard to find nowadays and very good for this price range. But response is really dropping below 60Hz don't expect to have any infrabass just "there at low relative volume" that you could boost... The manual is not really up-to-date controls don't exactly work the same but this is very similar so no problem.
-"Normal" is kind of loudness/bass boost setting whereas "monitor" aims for a flat response
-"music" is the most flat, "DJ" little boost on bass and "live" little decrease in bass; "speech" strong low and high filters starting~100Hz.
-Eq setting: Bass~90Hz, Mid~3kHz and treble~10 kHz I think
-personnal settings music/monitor/+3dB mid looks quite rather flat on 65Hz-11kHz and sounds good
-aux input is linked to the input 1 pre-gain knob, but it sounds pretty good I find. I don't think this is mixing both channels in mono then, probably just picking one channel I am not sure?
For the down sides:
-As mentionned in other comments there is a constant humming that I find personnaly a little loud, but I have no point of compariosn whatsoever maybe this is comparable to other brands. Roughly it is the same level up to 0dB master whatever pre-gain settings, but it really increases if we push master above 0dB. And bossting eq settings can also increase it significantly. I would say this speaker is made for loud volumes and noisy environments then, the humming is quite noticable if low volume in a flat for example...
-also seen in other comments, the overall "everything in plastic" looks cheap and not long lasting, let's see how it ages...
-about the DSP; before buying I thought it was only using it if we changed options, but apparently it is always going through it. Pushing the knob just gives access to the options. Then I would have liked to know what is the DSP, the rate and resolution for example but no way to find the infos...

a powerful little beast.
Peter R. 438 25.10.2020
A very usable and light enough machine.
Bars now need all the space they can get for the punters, so we must be small and quickly set up.
I use no mixer, simply mic and guitar straight into the 108 and bass xut at 120. The sound is "pretty good" and the delay on these is a joy to use, simply by adjusring the delay time. Works good for me.
8 inch speakers are to me the perfect size for acoustic guitar and voice. The power of the 108 is right up there with the best of the 8 inch speakers.
For its ease of setup, for its size and weight, this 108 is almost the ultimate sound machine for me and my style of music.
At this sensible price, I do not feel I need to be too careful with it, so I crank it right up at the end of my gigs, just to impress.
Thoman reliability and service is second to none, making me a happy user. :-)

Excellent monitor, but...
Hepcat McSwing 29.10.2024
I'm really content with this speaker as floor monitor for my keys and vocals. It is plenty loud, well defined, not as 'boomy' as other active speakers can be. I prefer it over the other, more expensive monitors that we use in the band.
The one thing that is really annoying though is the form factor. Although it has wedged sides, they're not wedged enough, making the angle unsuitable for monitor use unless you place it on a stand or (like me) put something under it to increase the angle.
For the price/quality this is a minor inconvenience but it's so 'dumb' that it irks me to no end.
Otherwise the build quality seems rugged. Been using it for about a year now and no significant signs of roadwear.

Excellent value for money
HermanSk 17.05.2022
Bought for a small vocal class in a music school. I was afraid that the sound would not be enough, but for a room of 15m2 it sounds just perfect! Can be used without a mixing console, there is a direct microphone connection. The sound quality is excellent for the money!
