Instruments? Why not vocal?
CyberDNIWE 09.10.2021
Great mic, comes with necessary accesories and somehow feels solid (even though the weight is under 100g).
Tried it for voip and was plesantly surprised with how far away you can boom it (in my case it was ~40cm, but it's room-dependant).
High pass switch is great for using it within a close proximity (5-15 cm) so the voice does not sound so muddy and at this distance included pop foamie works wanders eliminating plosives.
Noise rejection is also great, almost on par with my current dynamic mic. So if your room is not well treated and you hesitate to get dynamic microphones, I strongly suggest giving this little guy a try.

KL
Cheap and fair!

I bought this microphone to record my steel string guitar using the Behringer Xenyx 302 USB (using its phantom power), an IRig and Garage Band on the IPad and I am really surprised how well this works. It gives a clear acoustic guitar sound without background noise. So the directional characteristic of the Microphone is really good. Only when you stop playing you can hear yourself moving on your chair. But that's something every microphone will record and is easily avoidable by simply not moving until the recording finished or by just cutting the unwanted noise at the end of the recording.

I like the sound very much and i think it is way better than using the cheap pickup system integrated in my guitar.

Cheap and decent, nothing more, nothing less...
fommof 15.01.2019
I bought one of these long time ago for my home recording project.

I used it mostly with acoustic instruments (acoustic guitar, classical guitar) with good but not impressive results which was expected since first of all it's a cheap small diaph. cond. mic and then I never had the super duper preamps to use them with it.

If you are on a budget and you must buy a small condenser mic then go for it. If you need the ultimate condenser (which means you already have a more than decent preamp) then look away.

For the price is more than OK.

A
Incredible price

For the price, this microphone is an awesome addition to my mic collection. I'd say it sounds semi-professional. So far I have used it to record acoustic guitar but I think it will be good on a tom or hi-hat.

The switches are a bit tacky, but it's nothing major.

So good I'm buying a second so I can stereo pair!

s
bargain microphone

for the price this is very good value, I've just recorded some mandolin & octave mandola with this mic, and they've both come out of it really well.

the mini shock-mount is very handy, as is the optional high-pass rumble filter switch, which I wouldn't expect to find on such inexpensive equipment.

it's not as good sound quality as a large diaphragm condenser mic,not quite as clear in sound quality, so I probably wouldn't use this for vocals, but it doesn't take up nearly so much room, so is handy for recording acoustic guitar, mandolin, etc without getting in the way.

if I broke this, I'd buy another one, because it's a handy mic to have about.

N
good instrument microphone
Nanonoize 09.05.2014
I bought a few off the t.bone EM 700 small condenser microphones and i use them a lot.
These small microphones are a charm to use on drums as overheads and the give a nice transparant output.
the db pad and filters are a nice and handy feature on such a cheap microphone.
they are well up to par to other small condenser microphones from different higher priced well known brands.
On guitars or above percussion setups they have proved to be very reliable microphones that give me a good sound.
even recording with this microphones is a good option.
how they can make this good quality for the money i dont understand but i highly reccomend these not only to starters but even to professionals.
