Cheap and useful
With the normal mic holders for drums I often have problems with toms with floating mouting. This simple mic solves that problem, as it mounts to the top of the rim. The downside is that the rubber arm isn't sturdy enough if you want to mount a SM57, but for low weight drum mics it's perfect!

Built well but not user friendly.
These clips are definitely priced right and feel quite solid. However, I could not get them to clamp to the rim of the drum in any usable way. As you tighten the clamp, it forces the whole thing towards the center of the drum. Maybe they would work better for certain percussion instruments?

mixed thoughts
I have used these clips for around 8 years having had them originally with a set of T Bone drum mics.
The plastic sheathing on the clips is prone to working loose and the remaining metal is like a sharp blade that over time has cut into the rim of my bass drum (nothing significant but frustrating all the same).
The thread on one of the joining bolts also lost its thread forcing me to replace one.
On a good note, they hold the mics in a nice position and are not too evasive to the drum area. The also clip the cable behind nicely to stop straggling cables hanging in unwanted positions.
All in all, an ok product. I suppose you get what you pay for.

Nice clip but could be sturdier
The clip is ok, if you have heavy mic (e.g. a kick mic on a large floor tom) then you need to tighten it quite a lot.
The rubber cover from the rim mount also keeps falling, which probably needs a bit of gorilla glue, or something stronger then the one from when it was manufactured.
It is still a 5* for the price. I currently use it as my spare one in case the others break.

Works ok but not for all drums
As it is mentioned in the description, this mic stand is not designed to be used on a triple flanged hoop, but I still manage to adjust it in my toms, which have this kind of hoop. It will stay in place even when hitting hard, which is surprising considering that it doesn't have any kind of spring in the screw to provide extra torque.
Nonetheless, this stand will work good only with bigger drums, I would say 12" or more, as with smaller drums you risk hitting your mics as the stand will keep them to close to the center.
Also, this mic will work better with floor toms or toms that are not attached to your kick drum. In this latter case, the mic will wobble around every time you hit the kick, so better mic this toms with a regular mic stand.
A final thought would be that the finishing is not the best.

There are too much of elastic rubbered plastic - if you want to use it with Shure SM 57 / Beta 56 A or other mic which are made of metal (heavy enough) - forget it - because the mic will lay down on the drum and there will be no chance to play drums. It is provided for use with some kind of extra light weighted mics.

Cheap but not so good
I used this cilp one time to mic snare but you just can't tighten the screw firmly that it will stay in place for the whole gig. It is cheap but not so good.

An okay mic clip
This mic clip is okay the screw bit which you use to attach it to the snare is quite nasty to screw and doesnt ever feel like its done properly. The whole thing feels a bit flimsy but too be fair i have never had any problems with it. I have only been using it for probably a month now but so far it has not fallen out of place or broken. The reason i gave it 3 stars is because i think it probably will soon but i will edit this in a few months to confirm, id say if you have extra maybe get another one but if you are on a budget this is a pretty good choice!

Good if you are low on money
It was quite hard to fix it on a snare drum but finaly I managed to do it but it didn't look too stable.
Either I do not know how to mount it or maybe this is how it should be:D

Good but not very sturdy.
Found that they tend to slip and fall off with heavy hitting drummers.
