Ich habe jetzt insgesamt 8 Mundstücke für mein Alto getestet, dafür großen Dank an Thomann. Mit wurde das Theo Wanne Durga empfohlen. Ich hatte mir, eigentlich nur um mehr Vergleich zu haben, das Gaia mitbestellt, und zu meiner Überraschung ist es das geworden. Es ist dasselbe zu sagen wie über das Durga, fantastische Ansprache über die komplette Lage, besonders aber in den Tiefen. Dazu ein warmer, jazziger Ton, der die beiden Mundstücke unterscheidet und für mich den Ausschlag für das Gaia gegeben hat. Die Blattschraube ist gewöhnungsbedürftig und sehr empfindlich, was die richtige Lage des Blatts angeht. Wenn es dann aber passt, ist das das beste Mundstück, das ich bisher spielen durfte. Trotz des extrem hohen Kaufpreises habe ich mich entschieden, es zu behalten.
