Thomann 44/5str 3/4 Europe Double Bass

As expected, a little smaller and significantly lighter than my 'orchestral' bass. Do allow several 'playing-in' weeks for the strings to settle. As the bridge and fingerboard would accommodate it, I increased the string spacing to match my other instrument. I'm very pleased with it for jazz gigs, and will try it with orchestras later this year. The supplied strings are not great, a better low B is definitely worthwhile. Well-packed, and delivered to my door in the UK, but the bubble-wrap pattern is now a permanent feature in several places. That is my only, and quite trivial criticism.
