Mixed feelings
AGuitarPlayer 07.08.2020
Zoom H4N pro says batteries are gone (in fact, the unit even turns itself down because of the lack of power), I take out the batteries to check them out with CBT10, it says that batteries are good. Then out of curiosity, I go for a box where I keep the old and used batteries to check the readings on them-- quite few of surprises there also; some of those batteries seem to be ''good'' according to the device, even though I don't exactly have a habit of a preventive change of batteries; I usually change them when the device in question cannot operate anymore with those batteries because of the lack of power (for example, various led lights etc).

That being said, perhaps it is possible that CBT10 is actually right according to some relative values to which it is calibrated, and that these discrepancies are a consequence of various devices having various ''demands'' on the power, i.e. what is for some device a battery that needs to be changed, for other device it is still a perfectly usable one (mind you; I am not an electrician, so you should take my reasoning with a grain of salt), but in the end, that doesn't help me much at all. According to this particular unit I have and its measurements, I cannot exactly determine should batteries be changed or not, which kinda nullifies the very purpose of the device itself (at least for me).

Also, a possibility of having a faulty device on my hands shouldn't be completely ruled out, but as I've said; I am not an electrician so I cannot really know, and it is a cheap device so sending it back seems to be too much of a hassle.

Or maybe it is just me. Anyway, that's why the mixed feelings and all. Take care!

Perfect for occassional battery checks
Paper Plane 29.09.2021
Let me be clear, this battery tester works fine, and the price is perfect. However, if you do a lot of battery testing, you will want to find another product. On this one, the slider moves rather difficultly, and the display really only shows you a simple gauge, as you can see in the pictures.
In conclusion, check your use-case before buying. If you will be using this every day, you might want to look for an upgrade.
