I ordered this black pickguard to replace the white one on my Harley Benton PB-20 BK. I had read a previous review that said it fitted well. The guard arrived quickly and was well packaged. As usual it still had the protective clear film attached and close inspection showed a well made product. I had assumed that this would be a quick and simple replacement job. I was wrong.
Both guards have a small piece of foil attached to screen the electrics. This is slightly bigger on the new guard than the old. I removed the pots and socket and tried to fit to the new guard, at this point I noticed that the old one has location detents cut into it for the pot anti twist lugs. I did not feel confident in cutting these into the new guard and removed the lugs from the pots with side cutters. I then offered up the new guard and was surprised that it would not fit over the pick-ups as the holes were too small. I removed the electrics and compared the two guards. The new one has smaller cut-outs for the pick-ups and at least one of the screw mounting holes is in the wrong place. I decided not to return the guard to Thomann for a refund as there was enough guard to file and make fit. I did this and the new guard looks great. This may well be a 'one off' with the guard I was sent. I now have a black precision that matches my Harley Benton JB-70 Rosewood Deluxe jazz. I de-fretted the precision, installed maple veneer and then coated the fretboard with super glue, works really well.

this spare pickguard is supposed to fit the current P bass Harley-Bentons and it does its job without problems. The holes do not align perfectly with the ones of the instrument (HB PJ HTR) but it went on without mods to the bass. It is of good quality and in my opinion it looks much better than the stock one (sort of fake tortoiseshell). The price is very good. Thomann service exemplary as always.

Very nice replacement part
The quality is very nice, almost as good as the original. In my Mexican 90's P-Bass there is a slight placement diference in 2 of the holes but otherwise, it is very very nice.

a decent item
Bought this to replace the white one supplied with the Harley Benton pb kit, expecting it to fit as a direct replacement.
It did not, but with a bit of hole filling and drilling it went on and really lifted the look of the bass.
Quality of manufacture and material used are good, overall I am very pleased with the guard.

Guards against picks just fine
I used this pickguard on a custom build i was doing so I was expecting holes to not align perfectly with the body I was using and the shape to be slightly off. A few new holes were drilled, and some sanding near the neck was required in order to make it fit.
It looks and feels just fine. I dont know if it's really possible to get a bad pickguard. It guards against picks, small rocks, rubber bands and stuff. Probably not waterproof.

Great pickguard for the price - Doesn't fit to HB P-Style Bass Kit
I bought this pickguard for the P bass kit I am building. Sadly the screw holes and the end tail (around the jack socket) of the body cavity don't match the pickguard holes and the shape.
Pros:
- It is 3-layer pickguard
- comes with a protective foil
- comes with a aluminum shielding tape around the electronics
- amazing price
Cons,
- Mismatch with other (of course related) Harley Benton products, such as the Bass Guitar Kit P-Style.
- no datasheet provided to inspect the body for match before purchase

Good cheap option
Great for the money looks the part and fitted my Squire easily with addition of a few new screw holes. To me looks as good as the more expensive Fender version.

Just fine
Good fit, stiff and flat. the top layer has a bit of a gloss, which gives it a little bit more a plastic look than the more expensive ones. But in all, a good pick guard for this price
