Nice quality and nice value!
I am just getting back into playing after many years and needed something affordable but of good quality. Heard nice things about Thomann and chose this model. The goldbrass gives a nice quality to the sound and the valves are smooth and responsive. The ring on the third valve slide is unfortunately not adjustable, so keep that in mind if you have smaller hands (or are purchasing for someone with less reach).
Perhaps not as important as sound and functionality, but I also think this instrument is very nice-looking! :)

Very good
Impressed by the quality, especially at this price. Only problem as other reviews have pointed out is the placement of the slide ring being a little uncomfortable, but that's about it.

Lovely introductory cornet
I bought this horn about 10 months ago and have been playing it regularly. I am an old high school band and drum corps player who is returning to the instrument after a 45- year hiatus. I switched from trumpet to cornet on a lark, but am now a committed cornet player. For the price, this is a great cornet. Everything (valves, slides) work smoothly. It is also quite beautiful, especially the rose-colored bell. As others have mentioned, the third valve ring is not in a good place for a person with small hands, which is why I gave it only 4 stars in "features." Response is a little slow-although that could also easily be me. The horn is a bit heavy, which I only noticed recently when trying out other, more expensive horns. But you can make this horn sound really nice, which is the main thing, right? Even an old, marginally talented person like myself can make it sound good. Very happy with it.
