Thomann Latin Expert 11,75" Conga

Quality is OK, looks good on the outside. On the inside though, it has rough sanding and glue dripping. The quality is what you can expect at this price point, although I've seen LP Aspires (that are only 30€ more per drum) that are way cleaner.
The most annoying thing is the Fiberskyn drumhead. The overtones are so overpowering in any stroke. Sounds really like a djembe. Going to return this and and get an 11 + 12 set of Aspires instead. Luckily I only purchased the 11,75 conga to test.
All that being said, I have very little experience in hand percussion (15 years on the drum set though), so me not getting a proper sound out of the drum might just as well be due to my lack of technique. But still, I don't like the massive humm after one open tone this gives (it literally hums for 2-3 seconds after the stroke). The Aspires I have tested in the past have had a much dryer sound, more characteristic of a conga.
