I
It's a gamble
I think that this singing bowl is good for people who don't already own singing bowls. I wouldn't recommend buying a bowl without testing it first, unless the buyer does not care about the sound. The bowl looks nice and is of good quality. The sound, however, is comparably shallow. When struck it gives a nice tone, but when rubbed (to create the singing tone) it disappointed me. I sent it back to Thomann (thanks for making the return so easy!)
Recommended for: People who just want any bowl and do not care about the sound.
Not recommended for: People who want a specific sound / quality. Better to check it out in person and pick a bowl that is perfect for you. In that case don't fall for the marketing tricks that tell you about 7 metals or "antique" bowls, or bowls hammered during moonlight. Those are marketing strategies and not facts. At least Thomann is very honest about this and doesn't market their bowls as some magic item.
