Great value
Like IKEA, Thomann blows the competition out of the water when it comes to value.
This rack flight case is dirt cheap and still sturdy enough for most jobs.
It`s made of plastic but the panels used are "ribbed" on the inside and quite thick. The upside to this is that this case will absorb a lot more force if dropped than a standard wooden flight at twice the price.
Of course a wooden flight will take more punishment in the long run but I reallyt love the fact that small bangs and crashes don`t send the whole shock straight through expensive electronics.
The build quality in general is great like with all other Thon gear. Professional quality flightcases.

Good light rack for the non-touring musician
I am using this with my Behringer x32 rack mixer. I decided to go with this model, because, in this model heavy plywood is replaced with the plastic. For my needs, it's tough enough and much lighter. Locks seem to be good quality and the handle is comfortable to use. Bolts are included in the set. Frame is straight and both lids sit perfectly in their places. If you are an amateur user without the air/road load in-load outs on a daily basis, this rack will work fine for your need and protect the equipment from being scratched. Recommended.

Great innexpensive, portable rack.
I've looked long and hard for a nice, inexpensive rack for my studio. This is just what I wanted. Corrugated plastic it is, but the frame is solidly built, and it looks a heck of a lot better than the injection plastic flight cases I've seen so far.
Mine came very dusty and with a few scratches I was not impressed with, but I guess it's a bulk item without it's own box, and stuff like that is to be expected when hunting for house brand bargain items.
I would buy again, and, in fact, I'm planning to get a few more items in this series.

Best value cases by a mile
I've bought lots of these cases over the years from this 4U rack case to the stairville scan cases to the big utility boxes that I fitted out to carry moving heads and other Thon flight cases. Every single one I've had has been perfect for the job. They are rugged and solidly built and always at a great price. This particular case, the Thon Rack 4U Eco II 35 is exactly what I wanted. Light weight and perfect for my In Ear Monitor transmitters. It would also be perfect for FX units and any other light weight shallow rack mount units. What ever gear I need I always check out Thomann's own branded products first. Always worth a look. Keep up the good work gents.

Great for studio but not sure about them being gig proof.
I have a bunch of these but I use them in the studio only.
I like being able to stack them and put the fronts on to keep things neat and clean. They are fine for moving stuff around but I wouldn't be confident of their durability in the hands of others less careful than me. I specifically bought these as studio cases so my quality rating is based on their fitness for my requirements. If I was touring, I would buy better ones.

Better than I expected!
This is actually a great rack unit. I'm using it in studio, and it looks good and isn't too heavy, but obviously provides good protection to your equipment. I would definitely get another Thon Rack case.

Simple as this - you dont need a better rack. I use this in my studio and in my live sessions. Its simple - it do the job and thats all that matters.

Good value
Perfect little case for containing a guitar rig. It isn't super sturdy but I have had plastic cases crack and split on me in the past and I think this rack unit will hold up better than they did. I made the mistake of ordering rack screws and nylon washers separate to this but I need not have worried as it comes with plenty. Size wise it looks great on top of a 2x12 or 4x12 and the rubber feet aren't spaced too far apart to fit on top of the cab. The latches on the case feel like they will take plenty of punishment and the only weak spot I guess would be the handle if you decided to fill the rack with heavy units.
